Composite Tooling

Coast Composites has a wide breadth of tooling capabilities that now includes best in industry composite tooling fabrication capability, which includes a recently added, 15,000 sq ft composite shop complete with a 12-ft x 30-ft autoclave.

Fabrication capability includes Autoclave prepreg production tooling (BMI and Epoxy), OOA , & Infusion FAST tooling for limited use production, prototype & repair, and Hybrid Tooling.

Capability also includes the ability to Fabricate large Facesheets, non-standard back up structure Headers (30’ x 9’), & Proprietary Perform back up structure BMI Tie-ins.

Onsite Engineering & Design Capability

Facility also includes 30’ Debulk Oven, N/C ply cutter, Freezer storage, and Optical Laser Template Capability.

Dedicated Layup, Assembly Area, & Bond Prep

Facility is AS9100 and meets all quality requirements associated with the handling and storage of composite materials.

This added resource compliments existing tooling fabrication capability and allows Coast to provide complete vertical integration to better control schedule and cost, particularly on large composite tools.
